As the project develops the ship transit has changed several times due logistic issues, extending further north, up to the English Channel, some of the ship transit.
As a consequence, the initial frequency (6 per month) has been altered though keeping the main target of the project; studying the seasonal cycle of anthropogenic CO2 uptake in different oceanographic scenarios from an estuary to the open ocean. Our oceanic domain is also characterized for being a region of modal water formation and presence of several fronts -such as the Finisterre-, zones of formation of mode waters, and the estuaries-shelf-slope-open ocean system.
